Frank Greco is a senior AI/ML strategist, enterprise architect and one of the most recognised community leaders in the Java ecosystem. He has led engineering, product, integration, pre-sales and R&D teams across large enterprises and startups, including Google, AT&T Bell Labs, the New York Stock Exchange, Lehman Brothers and Sun Microsystems, and today advises companies on converting emerging technology into measurable business value.
In 1995 Frank founded NYJavaSIG – the world's first Java User Group and North America's largest, with more than 10,000 members – which he still chairs. He was named a Java Champion in December 2000, among the first ever, and has co-chaired QCon New York since 2010. He also organises the International Machine Learning for the Enterprise conference in Europe and is a frequent speaker at JavaOne, Devoxx, Devnexus, Jfokus and QCon.
Frank is co-spec lead, with Zoran Ševarac, of JSR 381 – the Visual Recognition API standard for machine learning on Java – and together they received the JCP Member of the Year award in 2023. As Strategy Advisor to Deep Netts he brings decades of enterprise architecture experience and a deep understanding of how large organisations adopt new platforms.
